1. Agreement with Ranom

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and the operator of Ranom when you access or use the Ranom apps, website or related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Ranom. Questions can be sent to support@ranom.uk.

Before publication, Ranom must add its full registered legal name, registered office address, company number if applicable, and final governing-law and court-jurisdiction details.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter this agreement. You may use Ranom only where the service is available and in accordance with applicable law.

Drivers must also satisfy Ranom’s application requirements and all licensing, insurance, right-to-work, vehicle, tax and regulatory requirements that apply to them and the journeys they perform.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. You may not create an account for another person, impersonate anyone, transfer an account, or allow another person to use a driver account.

Keep your login credentials and device secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account except to the extent it results from Ranom’s failure to use reasonable care or from circumstances for which the law makes Ranom responsible.

4. What Ranom provides

Ranom is a technology and operational-support service for arranging recurring rides between riders and eligible drivers. It is designed for planned repeating journeys rather than immediate, one-off or emergency transport.

A plan may include pickup and destination details, selected days and times, optional return journeys, route information, a weekly billing period and a matched driver. Ranom may provide quoting, matching, payments, communications, notifications, support, safety and account-management tools.

Submitting a route or creating a plan does not guarantee that it will be accepted, matched or fulfilled. Availability depends on location, route and destination review, driver coverage, payment, safety, service conditions and other reasonable checks.

5. Recurring plans and driver matching

Before confirming, riders must review the route, schedule, time zone, number of occurrences, weekly price, cancellation information and any other important terms shown in the app. A quote is available only for the stated period and may expire.

Changes to pickup, destination, days, times or return journeys may require a new quote, route review, payment authorisation or driver match. Ranom may match a plan using driver location, service area, availability, eligibility, existing commitments and route fit.

Drivers must review a route bundle and its schedule, route, earnings and commitment period before accepting it. A driver may not accept overlapping or incompatible commitments.

6. Prices, payments and driver earnings

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include the components identified during checkout. The app will show the weekly price and covered rides before a rider confirms a plan.

Riders authorise Ranom and Stripe to save the selected payment method and charge amounts that become due under the plan. Initial, activation or renewal charges may require additional authentication. A failed, expired or disputed payment may prevent activation, release a proposed driver or pause future service. A late payment success after a plan has been released will be handled through Ranom’s refund process.

Stripe processes card information and driver onboarding and payouts. Stripe’s own terms may also apply. Ranom does not store full card numbers.

Driver earnings and Ranom’s platform share are calculated from the fare and displayed through the relevant driver and plan surfaces. Earnings can remain pending until the associated ride and payment become eligible for release. Refunds, reversals, disputes, compliance checks or provider failures may delay or adjust a payout where permitted by law and the applicable driver arrangement.

Nothing in these terms removes a rider’s mandatory consumer rights or a driver’s statutory rights.

7. Cancellations and refunds

Before a rider confirms any cancellation, Ranom shows an itemised preview of the affected occurrences and exact refundable and non-refundable amounts.

  • A covered ride cancelled more than 24 hours before its scheduled time is refundable in full for that occurrence.
  • A covered ride cancelled within 24 hours of its scheduled time is not refundable under the standard policy. Its fare follows the displayed 80% driver and 20% platform allocation.
  • Cancelling a series also stops future renewal. Occurrences already completed or otherwise no longer cancellable are not changed.
  • A driver non-delivery event or another service failure attributable to the service may result in a full rider refund and no driver earnings for the affected occurrence.
  • Provider, fraud, safety, legal or technical issues may require a refund to be reviewed by authorised support staff before it is sent.

The fresh preview shown immediately before confirmation governs the transaction, subject always to applicable law. Refund timing after approval depends partly on Stripe and the rider’s payment provider.

8. Rider responsibilities

Riders must:

  • provide accurate pickup, destination, schedule, passenger, contact and accessibility information;
  • ensure the requested vehicle and journey are suitable for all passengers and belongings;
  • be ready at the agreed pickup point and follow reasonable safety instructions;
  • behave lawfully and respectfully and not threaten, harass, discriminate against or endanger a driver or another person;
  • not distract the driver, damage or soil the vehicle, carry unlawful or unsafe items, or misuse another user’s information; and
  • use cancellation, messaging, support and safety features honestly and responsibly.

A parent or guardian who arranges transport involving a child remains responsible for lawful supervision, suitable restraints and safeguarding arrangements. Ranom is not an emergency or specialist medical transport service.

9. Driver responsibilities

Drivers must:

  • maintain all licences, approvals, insurance, vehicle documents, roadworthiness, right-to-work status and other requirements applicable to the service they provide;
  • keep application, vehicle, availability, service-area, location and payout information accurate;
  • use only the approved driver account and vehicle unless Ranom has approved a change;
  • perform accepted commitments safely, punctually and professionally and follow applicable road, transport, equality and safeguarding laws;
  • use location, communication, arrival, no-show, cancellation and incident tools honestly and only for legitimate service purposes;
  • protect rider information and not contact or track a rider outside what is reasonably needed for the ride; and
  • promptly report incidents, inability to serve, changes in eligibility and circumstances that could affect safety or performance.

Ranom’s review or approval of an application is not a warranty of a driver, vehicle or future eligibility. These terms do not by themselves determine a driver’s employment, worker, agency or tax status; that status depends on the applicable agreement, actual relationship and law.

10. Safety, location and communications

Always prioritise road signs, the Highway Code, safe driving and personal judgement over any map, route, distance, arrival or time estimate. Traffic, weather, road closures, accessibility needs and events outside reasonable control can affect a journey.

Drivers may share live location while online or during an active ride. Riders may see relevant driver and arrival information for their journey. Neither party may use location or identity information to stalk, harass, discriminate against, threaten or contact another user for an unrelated purpose.

Ride messages and calls must be relevant, respectful and lawful. Ranom may retain ride-scoped messages and limited call-session records for service, safety, dispute and fraud-prevention purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.

Call emergency services if there is an immediate threat to life or safety. Ranom support is not an emergency service.

11. Restricted destinations and prohibited use

Ranom is intended for lawful, everyday recurring travel needs, including work, education, healthcare, worship, family care, training, errands, appointments, transport hubs and other routine journeys.

Ranom does not support recurring bookings whose primary purpose is access to alcohol-led venues, nightlife venues, gambling venues, adult-entertainment venues, sexual-service venues, drug-related venues or unlawful activity.

We may block, cancel, review or refuse a booking where the destination name, venue category, place metadata, user-provided information or other reasonably available information indicates a restricted destination or prohibited activity.

Ranom is not responsible for hidden, private, disguised or unknowable intentions where a destination reasonably appears to be an ordinary lawful location. You must not use Ranom to facilitate unlawful, harmful, exploitative, fraudulent or prohibited activity; interfere with the service; evade a restriction; probe security; submit false documents; manipulate payments or ratings; or violate another person’s rights.

12. Arrival, no-shows and service disruption

A driver may record arrival only when present at the pickup location and able to perform the ride. If the rider is not ready, Ranom may notify the rider and start a server-timed waiting period. A rider no-show may be recorded only after the current 15-minute eligibility period and required location evidence have been satisfied.

No-show and non-delivery outcomes affect ride status, payment, earnings, reliability records and support review as shown in the app and permitted by law. Fraudulent arrival or no-show evidence is a serious breach of these terms.

Ranom may delay, reassign, pause or cancel a ride or plan for safety, driver availability, payment failure, restricted destinations, emergencies, severe disruption, legal requirements or technical failure. We will provide refunds or other remedies required by applicable law.

13. Ratings, reliability and reviews

Ranom may use completed rides, cancellations, no-shows, non-delivery events, reports and ratings to provide support, improve matching, calculate reliability indicators and protect the service. Information must be honest and based on genuine experience.

We may remove abusive or irrelevant content. Where a significant restriction or account action relies on disputed information, you may contact support and ask for review.

14. Account restriction, suspension and closure

We may restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, non-payment, invalid driver eligibility, repeated unreliability, misuse or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the action and available review route.

You may stop using Ranom and request deletion from the app. Active plans, rides, payments, refunds, transfers, payouts, disputes and legal duties may need to be resolved first. Required records may be anonymised or retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

Terms which by their nature should continue after closure—including payment, intellectual-property, liability, dispute and record-retention provisions—will continue to apply.

15. Third-party services

Ranom relies on third-party services including Supabase, Stripe, Google Maps, Expo, Render, app stores and device platforms. Their terms and privacy notices may apply to the services they provide directly to you.

We are not responsible for a third party’s separate products or conduct, but this does not remove responsibility that applicable law places on Ranom for services we provide or subcontract.

16. Intellectual property

Ranom and its licensors own the apps, website, software, brand and content, excluding information you lawfully provide. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use Ranom for its intended purpose while you comply with these terms.

You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, scrape, interfere with or commercially exploit the service except where the law expressly allows it. You retain ownership of content you provide and give Ranom permission to host, reproduce and use it only as reasonably necessary to operate, protect and improve the service and comply with law.

17. Service standards and liability

Ranom will provide its service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a driver for every requested occurrence, an exact travel time, or that third-party systems will never fail.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, Ranom is not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made, was caused by your breach or unlawful conduct, or relates to a business activity where you use Ranom as a consumer. Any other responsibility will be determined under applicable law and the facts of the claim.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to Ranom, providers, safety requirements or law. We will publish the revised terms, change the effective date and give reasonable additional notice where a material change affects an active service or the law requires it.

If a change requires fresh agreement, we will ask you to accept it before continuing to use the affected service. The terms in effect when you confirmed a paid plan continue to govern that transaction unless a lawful change is expressly agreed or required.

19. Complaints and disputes

Contact support@ranom.uk first so we can investigate a complaint. Please include the account email, relevant plan or ride and a clear description, but never send a password or full card details.

These terms are governed by applicable UK law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms deprives you of mandatory protections or the right to bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law. The final registered operator details and jurisdiction wording must be completed before publication.

20. General terms

If a court finds part of these terms unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your agreement or driver commitment without our consent; Ranom may transfer its rights and obligations as part of a genuine reorganisation or sale where your rights are not reduced.

These terms, the Privacy Policy, the disclosures shown when you confirm a plan or cancellation, and any separate driver terms that apply form the agreement for the relevant Ranom service. If plan-specific information conflicts with these general terms, the clearer plan-specific information controls for that transaction, subject to applicable law.
